Fees
Our fees are the lowest in Wellington, and one of the lowest in the whole country. This is because we are a non-profit board, set up by students, for students.
Deposit
| Administration Fee | $100.00 |
| Student Development and Activity Fee | $125.00 |
| Residents Committee Membership | $25.00 |
| Bond (held until end of residency) | $200.00 |
| Deposit Total | $450.00 |
The deposit must be paid in order to accept our Offer of Accommodation. Students applying for the summer trimester (mid November to mid February) only need to pay the $200.00 bond.
Your bond is a guarantee that any fees, charges or damage costs that you incur will not be left unpaid. Deducations may include any unpaid items like guest meals, cleaning or maintenance. Your bond (less any deducation necessary) is refunded to you within 6 weeks of your contract ending. If your deductions are more than your bond, you will be required to pay the difference.

All fees must be paid in advance. Fees can be paid quarterly if a Financial Guarantor (a parent or guardian currently living in New Zealand) will sign the relevant section on the Residential Contract. If a financial guarantor is not available or the resident is an International Students, then the fees for the entire trimester (19 weeks) must be paid upon arrival. Fees cannot be paid weekly (it is shown here just a guide).
Residency is for 38 weeks. All fees include GST. If fees are not paid by the due date a late penalty of $100 per month will apply and the financial guarantor will be notified. Payment methods are: Cheque, EFTPOS, Direct Credit, Bank Deposit, or Internet Banking. Cash is no longer accepted for board payments.
Our account number for board and deposit payments is 02 0500 0024754 000 (our bank/branch is BNZ Wellington). Payments from outside New Zealand require a SWFT code which is BKNZNZ22. For correct payment allocation, please include the family name of the resident, also send the office and email with the name, amount, and date of the payment.
Although the payment can be paid for the whole year at once, board is generally due in installments of four payments (quarterly) or two payments (trimester). Individual invoices are not sent out except when the payments are overdue or when you have an extra or unusual payment due (arriving early or staying later). It is the resident's responsibility to make sure that they pay the fees on time. If you have a problem paying you must call at the office before the payment is due to discuss this.
