Conference Accommodation

Between November and January, Helen Lowry hall can host your conference. Our mixture of single and shared rooms can be hired for wedding accommodation, school trips, sports tournaments, training programmes and more. The quiet suburban location makes us preferable for groups wanting somewhere peaceful and relaxed but still close to the city.

Our buildings house between 8 and 14 people per floor with shared bathroom and laundry facilities. For school groups we can easily separate boys and girls by floor or building, and can add more mattresses to increase capacity if needed. We ask that teachers allocate rooms prior to arrival. Meals

We can arrange delicious, flexible meals with our caterers, Spotless. We also have a barbeque that groups can use while they stay. We can arrange either "pack your own" lunches or a hot lunch (with a vegetarian option). Please discuss your meal preferences with us so we can cater to your group's needs.

Facilities

Your group can use our upstairs lounge for meetings or group activities. It can seat 60 theatre-style, there there is a big screen projector available along with an OHP and a whiteboard. There is also wireless broadband internet available in the lounge and dining room, as well as in the accommodation buildings.

We have a games room with pool, air-hockey, foosball, table tennis and three lounges with TVs, DVD players and a Playstation. We have some off-street parking available, and coaches or buses can be parked on Blakey Avenue. Karori Park, Victoria University's Karori Campus and the public swimming pool are all within easy walking distance.
